Privacy Policy

Summary (TL;DR)

• llmrank.top is a static website. We do not ask you to register, log in, or submit personal data to read the leaderboard.
• We use privacy-respecting analytics to count page views in aggregate. No cross-site tracking is performed by us.
• If you click an affiliate "Try" button, the destination provider (e.g. OpenRouter, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) may set its own cookies — those are governed by their respective privacy policies.
• If you submit your email to the newsletter form, it is used only to send the weekly LLM digest. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click.
• You can email hi@llmrank.top at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any data we hold about you.

1. Who we are

This site (llmrank.top, the "Service") is operated by an individual maintainer (the "Operator", "we"). Contact: hi@llmrank.top. Source code is published at github.com/yuexiaoliang/llmrank.top.

2. What we collect automatically

When you load any page on llmrank.top, our hosting provider (GitHub Pages) and any analytics service we have configured may collect:

• HTTP request data: your IP address, user-agent string, referrer URL, the page URL you requested, and the timestamp. This is logged briefly by GitHub's edge infrastructure for abuse prevention; we do not have direct access to those logs.
• Aggregate analytics: if a privacy-respecting analytics tool is enabled (e.g. Plausible, Umami, or Google Analytics), it records anonymised page-view events: page URL, referrer, country (derived from IP, not stored), device type, and screen size. We use this only to understand which pages are most useful and where readers come from.

We do not build advertising profiles, fingerprint your browser, or share analytics with third-party advertisers.

3. Cookies & local storage

llmrank.top itself sets no first-party cookies. Your browser may store small amounts of data in localStorage only if you explicitly enable a future personalisation feature; this is not done by default.

If we have enabled an analytics tool, it may set a single anonymous identifier cookie or use a cookie-less hash. Cookie-less providers (Plausible, Umami) are preferred. If Google Analytics is enabled, you can opt out via the official browser add-on.

4. Advertising

If display advertising is enabled in the future (e.g. Google AdSense), Google or its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to llmrank.top or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time:

We do not control which specific ads are shown. We do not target ads based on sensitive categories (health, sexuality, politics, religion).

5. Affiliate links

"Try" buttons and some inline links are affiliate links — we may earn a small commission if you sign up or make a purchase, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored" in the HTML. Current affiliate partners include OpenRouter and may include the official platforms of OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. Clicking an affiliate link sends a referral identifier (e.g. ?ref=llmrank) to the destination so the partner can attribute the click — no other personal data is forwarded by us.

Affiliate relationships do not affect benchmark numbers, ranks, or the composite score. See the About page for our editorial policy.

6. Newsletter (optional)

If you submit your email to the newsletter form, your address is stored by our email provider solely to deliver the weekly digest. We never sell, rent, or share newsletter subscriber lists. Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email hi@llmrank.top to be removed immediately.

7. Third-party services we may load

• GitHub Pages (hosting) — privacy statement
• Plausible / Umami / Google Analytics (only if configured) — see their respective policies
• Google AdSense (only if enabled) — Google Ads policy
• Affiliate destinations (OpenRouter, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google AI Studio) — governed by each partner's own privacy policy

8. Data retention

Aggregate analytics data is retained for the minimum window required to compute year-on-year trends (typically 24 months). Newsletter subscriber emails are retained until you unsubscribe. We do not retain any personally-identifiable visit logs ourselves.

9. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar)

Wherever you are located, you may at any time:

• Request a copy of any data associated with your email address (newsletter only).
• Request correction or deletion of that data.
• Object to processing or withdraw consent.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email hi@llmrank.top. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Children

llmrank.top is a technical reference for engineers and researchers. It is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes (e.g. enabling a new advertising network) will be flagged in the changelog of the project's GitHub repository.
